Bigred's Prisms - Update

Now that I'm back in Austin, I've had more time to work on Bigred's prisms.  I lost Monday to a game against bullymike, but yesterday I had all afternoon.  I can tell I'm much more comfortable at my own desk, as soon as I sat down I realized some things I'd done wrong.  I fixed the blended side 'fins' colors to be correct before doing anything else.

I decied I did not like the yellow "gems" from the sample serpent, so I did not do them.  I replaced all the yellow ones with green.  The red ones stayed red.  I also painted them as gems instead of just throwing a color over the entire thing.

The cockpit window was kind of a wild guess...  I really wasn't sure how I'd do it.  After checking out a couple pictures of real jet fighters, I decided a grey scale would work.  I just picked a slightly curving line starting at the front and going to the back where the grey would start.  I did continually lighter shades until I got a "reflection" effect I liked.  I think it looks pretty good and is a nice contrast to the rest of the tank.  The last bit was the craftworld symbol.  I put it in the same place as on the prism, but I wanted it to be a bit larger and kinda stand out more.  I hand painted it on and I think it came out alright.

Tonight, I plan to finish up this one tank and maybe start on the second.  My goal is to have this one finished by tomorrow so I can bring it in with me to the game store.  Once the prisms are done, I can get the warhound finished.
