TITANICUS MINIMUS!!!

I've gotten a bit further along with the Warhound, but the holidays and another quick project has delayed it slightly. I've finished both of the leg plates, on of which is done in the blue and white alternate coloring.

I started by painting the entire front face using Mordian Blue. I used basic masking tape spaced an equal distance apart and painted in the white parts. After it was sufficiently white, I masked off the borders and blacked them. A few small touch ups and it was done. I'll do a more detailed step by step for the next part I do the stripes on.To create the symbol, I used the symbol from the BoLS decal sheet as a base. I did a couple practices with a pen on paper and when I was confident with the basic shape, I went to the model. I started with the basic lines and expanded from there with a brush. Once the basic shape was done in black, I went over it leaving a small black border. Finally, I highlighted it using brighter reds.
You can reall start to get a sense of the whole thing now. What the colors will look like together. Minus has decided that the left (your right) side of the carapace will also share the blue/white striped scheme. Should be a fun challenge. Aims is going to be out of town for a little while, so I should have some extra time to work on it.
